- 6 oz - Chow Mein Noodles
- 8 oz - Chicken Thighes (sliced into thin strips)
- 2 Cups - Chicken Stock
- 1/2 - Large White Onion (cut into thin slices)
- 1 - Celery Stalk (cut into thin slices)
- 2 tsp - Minced Onion
- 2 TBS - Molasses
- 2 oz - Fresh Bean Sprouts or 1 can drained
- 2 TBS - Corn Starch .
- 2 TBS - Water
- 2 - Hamburger Buns
- Oil for frying
Directions
- Cook noodles according to directions on package minus 2 mintues.
- Rinse under cold water and drain well.
- In a wok or skillet over medium high heat, add 2 TBS oil and stir fry chicken for 2 minutes.
- Add onion, celery and continue stir frying until onions and celery begin to sweat.
- Add garlic, bean sprouts and stir fry 1 more minute.
- Add chicken stock, molasses and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch and water together and stir into the gravy.
- Once thickened turn heat to low to keep warm.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat fry noodles in 1/4" inch of oil for 3-4 minutes.
- Flip and cook 2-3 more minutes.
- Place fried noodles on top of bottom have of hamburger bun.
- Cover with gravy, then top with the top half of the bun.
