Grilled Chicken - Rum and Butter Glazed Grilled Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

3-4 lbs - Chicken Legs

Rub

  • 1/4 Cup - Brown Sugar
  • 1 TBS - Granulated Garlic
  • 1 TBS - Granulated Onion
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 2 tsp - Black Pepper
Sauce
  • 1.5 Cups - Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
  • 3/4 Cup - Brown Sugar
  • 2 TBS - Butter
  • 1 tsp - Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp - Salt
Directions
  • Combine all of the rub ingredients in a bowl.
  • Liberally coat the chicken on all sides, refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Set up grill for indirect grilling and pre-heat to 350ยบ
  • Grill chicken with the lid on for 20 minutes flipping after 10 minutes.
  • In a medium sauce pan combine all of the sauce ingredients except the butter.
  • Bring to a boil over med-high heat until reduced by half.
  • Remove the sauce from the heat and add the butter until melted.
  • Baste the chicken every 5 minutes for 20 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes.

  1. This is an amazing recipe. I have cooked it twice and it is a hit. There is one small mistake in the text recipe. Chilli powder is listed twice and I think one should be salt.
