3-4 lbs - Chicken Legs
Rub
- 1/4 Cup - Brown Sugar
- 1 TBS - Granulated Garlic
- 1 TBS - Granulated Onion
- 1 tsp - Salt
- 2 tsp - Black Pepper
Sauce
- 1.5 Cups - Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
- 3/4 Cup - Brown Sugar
- 2 TBS - Butter
- 1 tsp - Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp - Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp - Salt
Directions
- Combine all of the rub ingredients in a bowl.
- Liberally coat the chicken on all sides, refrigerate 1 hour.
- Set up grill for indirect grilling and pre-heat to 350ยบ
- Grill chicken with the lid on for 20 minutes flipping after 10 minutes.
- In a medium sauce pan combine all of the sauce ingredients except the butter.
- Bring to a boil over med-high heat until reduced by half.
- Remove the sauce from the heat and add the butter until melted.
- Baste the chicken every 5 minutes for 20 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes.

This is an amazing recipe. I have cooked it twice and it is a hit. There is one small mistake in the text recipe. Chilli powder is listed twice and I think one should be salt.
