Fried Oysters - Old Bay Fried Oysters

Yum
Ingredients
  • 1 Cup - All purpose flour
  • 1 Cup - Self rising cornmeal
  • 2 -3 TBS - Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
  • Oil for frying
Directions
  • Combine flour, cornmeal and Old Bay.
  • Thoroughly coat the oysters with the breading mixture.
  • Fry 2-2.5 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve with cocktail and tartar sauce.
Enjoy!

  2. Tried your recipe just now, using a cast iron skillet, only added a little more old bay, drained them on a wire rack. Just as described, crispy outside, tender and succulent inside....magnificent! This will be a family favorite. Thank you!

  4. Relatively easy method to fry oysters. I used avocado oil in a stainless pot to reduce splatter. Thanks for the "no paper towel tip".
