Ingredients
*Makes 4 Hawaiian Doubles
- 2 - Boneless Chicken Breast (sliced in half)
- 4 - Ham Steaks (1/2" thick)
- 8 slices - Monterey Jack Cheese
- 4 - Pineapple slices
- 1/4 Cup - KFC BBQ sauce (or your favorite)
- Oil for frying
Breading
- 2 Cups - All Purpose Flour
- 2/3 tsp - Salt
- 1/2 tsp - Thyme
- 1/2 tsp - Basil
- 1/3 tsp - Oregano
- 1 tsp - Celery Salt
- 1 tsp - Black Pepper
- 1 tsp - Dry Mustard
- 4 tsp - Paprika
- 2 tsp - Garlic Salt
- 1 tsp - Ground Ginger
- 3 tsp - White Pepper
Marinade
- 2 Cups - Buttermilk
- 2/3 tsp - Salt
- 1/2 tsp - Thyme
- 1/2 tsp - Basil
- 1/3 tsp - Oregano
- 1 tsp - Celery Salt
- 1 tsp - Black Pepper
- 1 tsp - Dry Mustard
- 4 tsp - Paprika
- 2 tsp - Garlic Salt
- 1 tsp - Ground Ginger
- 3 tsp - White Pepper
Directions
- Combine all of the marinade ingredients together in a large bowl or zip loc bag.
- Add the 4 pieces of chicken breast and marinate in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
- Combine all of the breading ingredients together in a large bowl or zip lock bag.
- Add chicken and thoroughly coat.
- Shake off excess flour and fry in 350ยบ oil for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Grill or pan fry ham and pineapple just long enough to get color and heat through.
- Spread BBQ sauce on each piece of chicken.
- Add cheese to each piece of chicken,
- Add ham and pineapple.
- Get a wet wipe and EAT!
