KFC's NEW Hawaiian Double - How to Make a Hawaiian Double Sandwcih

Ingredients
*Makes 4 Hawaiian Doubles
  • 2 - Boneless Chicken Breast (sliced in half)
  • 4 - Ham Steaks (1/2" thick)
  • 8 slices - Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 4 - Pineapple slices
  • 1/4 Cup - KFC BBQ sauce (or your favorite)
  • Oil for frying

Breading
  • 2 Cups - All Purpose Flour
  • 2/3 tsp - Salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp - Basil
  • 1/3 tsp - Oregano
  • 1 tsp - Celery Salt
  • 1 tsp - Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp - Dry Mustard
  • 4 tsp - Paprika
  • 2 tsp - Garlic Salt
  • 1 tsp - Ground Ginger
  • 3 tsp - White Pepper
Marinade
  • 2 Cups - Buttermilk
  • 2/3 tsp - Salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp - Basil
  • 1/3 tsp - Oregano
  • 1 tsp - Celery Salt
  • 1 tsp - Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp - Dry Mustard
  • 4 tsp - Paprika
  • 2 tsp - Garlic Salt
  • 1 tsp - Ground Ginger
  • 3 tsp - White Pepper
Directions
  • Combine all of the marinade ingredients together in a large bowl or zip loc bag.
  • Add the 4 pieces of chicken breast and marinate in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
  • Combine all of the breading ingredients together in a large bowl or zip lock bag.
  • Add chicken and thoroughly coat.
  • Shake off excess flour and fry in 350ยบ oil for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Grill or pan fry ham and pineapple just long enough to get color and heat through.
  • Spread BBQ sauce on each piece of chicken.
  • Add cheese to each piece of chicken,
  • Add ham and pineapple.
  • Get a wet wipe and EAT!
