  • 4 lbs - Chicken Legs
  • 1/2 Cup - Honey
  • 1/2 Cup - Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup - Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup - Soy Sauce
  • 5 Springs Rosemary
  • 5 Garlic Cloves (sliced)
  • 2 TBS - Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • Combine the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, rosemary and garlic in a large mixing bowl and mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the chicken legs and marinade to a 1 gallon zip loc bag and marinate for a minimum of 2 hours or up to 12 hours for the best results.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and place on a greased raised rack on a cookie sheet (reserve marinade).
  • Bake at 450ยบ for 30-40 minutes.
  • Bring reserved marinade to a boil over med-high heat in a medium sauce pan and reduce by half or until it's nice and thick.
  • Once the wings are cooked through and caramelized, baste with the glaze.
  • Then place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes just long enough to caramelize the sauce.
  • Top with toasted sesame seeds.

  1. Hey Dufus! There is no honey listed in your ingredients list, nor the amount used! Also, there is no mention of broiling them or for how long, which is mentioned in the video.

  2. I'm human.......I made a mistake and have now fixed it. For future reference before you call someone 'dufus' at least spell it correctly....okay doofus? LOL Thanks for pointing out my error, I get busy and forget to proof read and appreciate it when someone points out my mistake....even with incorrect spelling! LOL

    1. Thank you so much for this recipe and I do see honey there in your description thank you so much up quick question can I use this recipe and put the chicken in the Crock-Pot this way I could just do it and then not have to worry about it until the end then I will put it in the broiler I just wanted to make sure that was good to do thanks so much again for the recipes they're very helpful for active family and parents of three kids :-)

  3. Well, if bad spelling were a crime I would be immediately executed! LOL Sorry about that. I saw the video and was going to make up a batch last night, but couldn't because I didn't know how much honey to add. I apologize for my rudeness and lack of patience. I will try your terrific recipe next weekend!

    1. Please don't apologize....I am indeed a lazy doofus for not proofreading the recipe before I posted it!!! I was just picking fun back at you to take the attention away from my mistake!! Please let me know how you enjoy this recipe!!

  4. Thanks Kathy, please let me know how you like them!

  5. Can I use thighs and legs?
