Grilled Asian Beef Shish Kebabs

Ingredients 

  • 2 lbs - Beef Sirloin Chunks (bite size pieces)
  • 1/2 Cup - Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 TBS - Fresh Chopped Ginger
  • 1 TBS - Sambal Oelek
  • 1 TBS - Fresh Chopped Garlic
  • 2 tsp - Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 TBS - Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 TBS - Shaoxing Chinese Cooking Wine or Sherry
  • 4 - Star Anise (optional)

Directions
  • Skewer all of the beef onto skewers.
  • Combine remaining ingredients, mix well, add the meat and marinate for 1.5 hours.
  • Remove from the refrigerator and let finish marinating on the counter for 30 minutes to come to room temperature.
  • Grill over direct heat at 400ยบ for 4 minutes per side (total of 8 minutes for med-rare).
  • Serve over rice.
